Mother’s Day and Cake Decorating Workshops!
It is that time of year when many of us with children will be getting spoilt (we hope!), but of course we cannot forget to also spoil our dear mothers.
So, what are you going to do this year?
Many of the ladies I regularly meet with cannot decide between the usual gift of flowers or chocolates.
I think you should give your beloved mum both.
That’s right, why not create a wonderful flower inspired cake for her and the rest of the family to enjoy?
Creating flower inspired cakes like the example you see below takes skill, but it can be immensely rewarding.
Better still, forget fiddling around in the kitchen on your own, why not bring your Mother to a cake decorating workshop as her present this year and together you can make your own Mother’s Day Cake.
Such fun for the two of you for the day with lunch provided in a beautiful Surrey setting. Check out the latest Cake Decorating Classes here.
Creating a show stopper of a cake will make a lovely treat to have together on Mothering Sunday. Some of our favourites range from the fool proof classic like a Victoria sponge to celebration layer cakes and even a bouquet of cupcakes.
If you are in a hurry and want a quick fix, then do not think about just the big cakes. Tray bakes, brownies and biscuits are also a lovely treat for Mum – and they’re handy if you’re having a few people over as they’re easier to serve.
…but let be honest a bit of time and some lovely detail, creates a centre piece for any special occasion.
There may even be a slice or two left for the week.
